 How much is Autograph’s breed fee?

Autograph’s 2006 breed fee is $850, including a non-refundable $250 booking fee. For your convenience, we can accept checks, Visa, or MasterCard online through PayPal.

 

What are the guarantees? 

We offer a live colored foal guarantee.  Autograph is an outstanding color sire, but in the rare case your Auto-Tot arrives without spots, you may breed back during the 2007 season for ½ the advertised breed fee.

 

What other fees are there?

The stallion service contract spells out the fees for mare care and other services such as those related to shipping semen.

 

Do you offer any discounts?

Mare Owners wishing to breed more than one mare in a season will receive a 10% discount on each stud fee after the first mare.  Discounts are also available for select, proven mares.

 

Auto-Tots resulting from 2006 breedings will  be eligible for nomination to the APHA's prestigious Breeders Trust.

Does Autograph ‘ship well?’

Yes.  Autograph's semen ships extremely well, far exceeding industry standards for numbers of progressively motile sperm remaining viable over a three day period.  The success of our shipping program has been outstanding! With a near 100% conception rate on shipped-semen mares in the last two breeding seasons!

 

What kind of care will my mare receive on the farm?

We regret that Signature West will no longer be boarding outside mares beginning the 2006 breeding season. Transported cooled semen is available for shipping. Mare owners wishing to pick up semen at the farm or bring their mare for insemination may do so. All mares are bred by artificial insemination. Signature West’s AI practices are up-to-date, hygienic and performed by a Certified AI Technician.

What happens if my mare doesn’t settle?

If your mare doesn’t settle in 2007, you can rebreed her for no additional cost in 2008.  If you choose, you may substitute another mare for the rebreed.  It’s our goal to make sure you end up with a special Autograph baby ~ and we’ll do our best to make sure that happens!
